The current status and correlation of exercise self-efficacy and hope level in COPD patients

Objective: To explore the current situation of COPD patients’ hope level and exercise self-efficacy, and analyze the correlation between them. Methods: A total of 353 COPD patients who were hospitalized in 3 Grade A hospitals in Shijiazhuang from March to October 2020 were selected by convenience sampling. The general information questionnaire, exercise self-efficacy scale, and hope level scale were used to analyze the correlation between self-efficacy and level of hope in COPD patients. Results: The exercise self-efficacy score was 71.00(67.00, 76.00). The hope level score of COPD patients was 34.00(33.00, 35.00). The correlation analysis results show that the total score of exercise self-efficacy of COPD patients was positively correlated with the total level of hope and each dimension( P<0.001). Conclusion: The exercise self-efficacy and hope level of patients with COPD are at a moderate level, and there is a positive correlation between them. This provides a basis for medical staff to further develop intervention measures for exercise self-efficacy in patients with COPD.

Analysis on the status quo and influencing factors of humanistic care ability of operating room nurses in western China

Objective: To understand the current status of humanistic care ability of operating room nurses in western China,and explore its influencing factors ,so as to improve the humanistic care ability of operating room nurses in western China. Methods: 940 operating room nurses from 25 hospitals in 8 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and municipalities in western China were conveniently selected. They were investigated by the general data questionnaire and the humanistic care ability scale of nurses. Results: The total score of the humanities care ability of operating room nurses in western China was 114.78±34.18, the score rate was 63.77%. Age, only child, nurses’ understanding of humanistic care content and different degrees of care from hospital leaders affected the humanistic care ability of operating room nurses( P<0.05). Conclusion: The humanistic care ability of operating room nurses is at the middle level, which needs to be further improved. The training of humanistic care should be carried out according to the influencing factors, so as to improve their humanistic care ability.
