Analysis on the status quo and influencing factors of humanistic care ability of operating room nurses in western China

Objective: To understand the current status of humanistic care ability of operating room nurses in western China,and explore its influencing factors ,so as to improve the humanistic care ability of operating room nurses in western China.
Methods: 940 operating room nurses from 25 hospitals in 8 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and municipalities in western China were conveniently selected. They were investigated by the general data questionnaire and the humanistic care ability scale of nurses.
Results: The total score of the humanities care ability of operating room nurses in western China was 114.78±34.18, the score rate was 63.77%. Age, only child, nurses’ understanding of humanistic care content and different degrees of care from hospital leaders affected the humanistic care ability of operating room nurses(
P<0.05).
Conclusion: The humanistic care ability of operating room nurses is at the middle level, which needs to be further improved. The training of humanistic care should be carried out according to the influencing factors, so as to improve their humanistic care ability.
