Objective: To explore the status and influencing factors of information needs for cardiac rehabilitation in patients after permanent pacemaker implantation. Methods: A total of 189 patients with permanent pacemaker implantation who were hospitalized in a grade 3 general hospital in Hefei city of Anhui Province from June to December 2020 were selected as the research objects. The status of patients’ needs was evaluated by questionnaire survey, and the influencing factors were analyzed. Results: The total score of patients’ needs for cardiac rehabilitation information after pacemaker implantation was 157.16±18.45, and the main needs were emergency and safety, drug knowledge, exercise etc.The needs mode was mainly "movies and videos that can be taken home" and "communication and discussion with medical staff during treatment". The multiple linear regression analysis showed that patients with longer course of disease, lower education level, higher cardiac function grade, more complications and not receiving cardiac rehabilitation related knowledge education had higher demand for cardiac rehabilitation information (P<0.05).Conclusion: The demand of cardiac rehabilitation information of patients after pacemaker implantation is at a medium level, and affected by many factors. When carrying out cardiac rehabilitation health education for patients, medical staff should consider the individual situation of patients, design personalized education program and in the way that patients are more willing to accept.
