Abstract:

Objective: To design a questionnaire for nursing students’ clinical participation and test the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. Methods: The questionnaire was designed through literature review and experts evaluating. A total of 117 nursing students were investigated using the questionnaire to test the reliability and validity. The construct validity was tested using the exploratory factor analysis and expert validity analysis, the reliability was estimated using Cronbach’s α coefficient and rest-retest reliability. Results: Factor analysis identified six factors, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 63.704%. The content validity index was 0.995. The Cronbach’s α coefficient was 0.811 and test-retest reliability was 0.887. Conclusion: The questionnaire for nursing students’ clinical participation has good reliability and validity. It can be used as a useful tool to evaluate the participation of nursing students in their clinical practice.
