Abstract: Objective: To analyze the research status, hot spots and development trend of early term infant care research literatures collected from Web of Science core collection database in recent ten years, so as to provide reference basis for further early term infant nursing research in China. Methods: Web of Science core collection database was used as the source of literature, and the time was limited from 2012 to 2021. The information of the year of publication, country, author and institution of the literature was derived by using the database export function, and the cooperation network map of author, country, institution and the high-frequency keywords were drawn by the scientific knowledge map analysis software VOS viewer, The classic literatures were collected by Hist Cite Pro 2.1. Results: A total of 2 816 related scientific papers were included, and the total number of publication showed an upward trend year by year, with the United States ranking first. The top ten journals in term of quantity of publication are from the United States and the United Kingdom mostly. The adverse outcomes and early health care of early term infants are the research hot spots. Conclusion: Early term infants care research literatures show an upward trend year by year, but core research journals have not yet been formed. Researchers should strengthen cooperation and enrich nursing measures for early term infants, then promote the development of early term infant care.
