Abstract: Objective: To explore the current situation of COPD patients’ hope level and exercise self-efficacy, and analyze the correlation between them. Methods: A total of 353 COPD patients who were hospitalized in 3 Grade A hospitals in Shijiazhuang from March to October 2020 were selected by convenience sampling. The general information questionnaire, exercise self-efficacy scale, and hope level scale were used to analyze the correlation between self-efficacy and level of hope in COPD patients. Results: The exercise self-efficacy score was 71.00(67.00, 76.00). The hope level score of COPD patients was 34.00(33.00, 35.00). The correlation analysis results show that the total score of exercise self-efficacy of COPD patients was positively correlated with the total level of hope and each dimension(P<0.001). Conclusion: The exercise self-efficacy and hope level of patients with COPD are at a moderate level, and there is a positive correlation between them. This provides a basis for medical staff to further develop intervention measures for exercise self-efficacy in patients with COPD.
