Abstract:

Objective: To evaluate the effect of solution-focused approach in thyroid cancer patients with tracheotomy. Methods: Using convenience sampling, a total of 90 patients with tracheotomy from January 2015 to May 2017 were selected and grouped according to time sequence. 90 patients were divided into the control group (45cases) and observation groups (45 cases). The patients in the control group received the standard nursing care and education. In addition to this care and education, the observation group received solution focused approach. The scores of anxiety and self-efficacy, satisfaction degree were compared between two groups. Results: There were no significant differences in scores of anxiety and self efficacy before intervention(P>0.05).The score of anxiety in observation group was significantly lower than those of the control group after intervention(P<0.05).The score of self efficacy and the rate of satisfaction in observation group was significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Solution-focused approach can relieve anxiety of thyroid cancer patients with tracheotomy, and improve the level of their self efficacy, and improve the satisfaction of patients.
