Abstract: Objective: To understand the research hotspots of palliative care for cancer patients in the past 10 years based on the PubMed, and to understand the research status and development trend in this field.Methods: The PubMed database was searched with "neoplasms", "palliative care" and "hospice and palliative care nursing" as the main search terms. The word frequency analysis and cluster analysis of the subject terms included in relevant literatures were performed using BICOMB software and SPSS20.0. Results: 9 083 related articles and extracted 38 high-frequency keywords were searched. 5 hot research areas were identified, including: pain control and quality of life in tumor patients, palliative care standard in tumor patients, home palliative care in tumor patients, tumor patients and their caregivers’psychology, research of symptoms in tumor patients. Conclusion: The development of global cancer palliative care is diversified in terms of research topics and research objects, but the development of different regions is quite different. We should strengthen the exploration of the comprehensiveness and professionalism of palliative care development.
