Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the effect of hyperbaric oxygen adjuvant therapy for pressure injuries. Methods: CNKI,VIP,WANFANG DATA, PubMed, Web of Science, The Cochrane Library were searched from inception to December 2020 to collect the randomized controlled trials of hyperbaric oxygen adjuvant therapy for pressure injuries. Literature screening, information extraction and methodological quality evaluation of the included literature were conducted by 2 nursing graduates. Meta-analysis was performed on the screened data by RevMan 5.4 software. Results: A total of 321 patients were included in 6 randomized controlled trials, among which 162 patients receiving traditional treatment of pressure injuries were divided into the control group, and 159 patients receiving combined hyperbaric oxygen treatment on the basis of the control group were divided into the experimental group. Meta analysis showed that compared with traditional therapy, hyperbaric oxygen adjuvant therapy improved the cure rate of the pressure injuries [RR=0.66, 95% CI(0.55,0.80), P<0.001], the total effective rate [RR=0.20, 95% CI(0.10,0.41), P<0.001], and also shortened the healing time [(SMD = -1.99, 95% CI(-2.52, -1.47), P<0.001)]. Conclusion: Hyperbaric oxygen combined with traditional therapy is more effective than traditional therapy alone in the treatment of pressure injuries.
