Abstract: Objective: To explore the current status and influencing factors of medication literacy among cancer patients taking oral anti -tumor drugs, and to provide a basis for formulating intervention measures. Methods: Convenience sampling was adopted to select cancer patients taking oral anti-tumor drugs who visited the day ward of a grade A tertiary hospital in Tianjin as the research subjects. A cross-sectional survey was conducted using a general information questionnaire, the Chinese version of Beliefs about Medicines Questionnaire, the 8-item Morisky Medication Adherence Scale, Self-elficacy for Appropriate Medication Use Scale, and the Medication Literacy Assessment Scale. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of medication literacy in cancer patients taking oral anti-tumor drugs. Results: The drug literacy score of 282 cancer patients taking oral anti-tumor drugs was 6.84±3.53. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that medication beliefs, medication adherence, self-efficacy for appropriate medication use, age, educational level, and employment status were the main factors affecting the medication literacy of cancer patients taking oral anti-tumor drugs, which could explain 48.7% of the total variation. Conclusion: Healthcare providers should develop targeted intervention measures based on the influencing factors of medication literacy among cancer patients taking oral anti-tumor drugs to enhance their medication literacy levels.
