Objective: To explore the real experience of transitional period in survivors of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, so as to provide reference for further improving the quality of life of survivors of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Methods: By purposive sampling method, a semi-structured interview was conducted in 14 patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma who had completed treatment and had follow-up visits from August to December 2021. The data were analyzed using the Colaizzi 7-step analysis method. Results: The real experience of survivors of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma during transitional period was summarized into three themes such as psychological experience themes including increased sense of life, high levels of fear of recurrence, and decreased individual confidence; physiological experience themes including fatigue, poor recovery of bone marrow function, and long-term symptom distress; social experience themes including striving to live, returning to normalcy, and seeking professional support and assistance. Conclusion: Survivors of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma during transitional period have multiple physiological, psychological, and social experiences. Medical institutions should strengthen attention to survivors and provide active and effective measures to help survivors of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma transition smoothly to survival.
