Development and validity test of the caregiving ability scale for family primary caregivers of school-age children with epilepsy

学龄期癫痫患儿家庭主要照护者照护能力量表的编制及信效度检验

Abstract: Objective: To develop the caregiving ability scale for family primary caregivers of school-age children with epilepsy and evaluate its reliability and validity. Methods: Based on theoretical research, literature research, and semi-structured interviews, the caregiving ability scale for family primary caregivers of school-age children with epilepsy was developed through Delphi expert correspondence and pre-investigation. A convenience sampling method was used to survey 211 school-age children with epilepsy and their families from three grade Ⅲ and first-class hospitals in Tianjin between September and October 2021. Item analysis and reliability and validity evaluations were conducted on the scale. Results: The caregiving ability scale for family primary caregivers of school-age children with epilepsy includes three dimensions. There are psychosocial, medical management, and role and behavior. The scale comprised 25 items, with a cumulative variance explanation rate of 64.191%. The Cronbach′s α coefficients for the dimensions ranged from 0.903 to 0.936, and the overall Cronbach′s α coefficient for the scale was 0.961, with the odd-even split reliability of 0.975. The content validity index for the overall scale was 0.980. Conclusion: The caregiving ability scale for family primary caregivers of school-age children with epilepsy demonstrates good reliability and validity and can be used to assess the caregiving ability of caregivers for school-age children with epilepsy.

摘要: 目的:编制学龄期癫痫患儿家庭主要照护者照护能力量表并对其进行信效度检验。方法:在理论研究、文献研究和半结构式访谈的基础上, 通过德尔菲专家函询和预调查的方法形成学龄期癫痫患儿家庭主要照护者照护能力量表。采用便利抽样法于2021 年9月至10月对天津市3所三级甲等医院神经内科诊疗中心就诊的211例学龄期癫痫患儿及其家属进行问卷调查, 并对量表进行项目分析与信效度评价。结果:学龄期癫痫患儿家庭主要照护者照护能力量表包括心理社会、医疗管理、角色与行为3个维度,25个条目,累计方差解释率为64.191%。量表各维度Cronbach′s α 系数为0.903~0.936,总量表的Cronbach′s α 系数为0.961,奇偶折半信度为0.975。总量表内容效度指数为0.980。结论:学龄期癫痫患儿家庭主要照护者照护能力量表信效度良好,可用于学龄期癫痫患儿照护者照护能力的评价。
