Mediating effect of transition shock between work readiness and career status in new nurses

转型冲击在新护士工作准备度与职业生涯状况间的中介效应

Abstract: Objective: To explore the mediating effect of transition shock between work readiness and career status, and provide evidence for promoting the development of the career status of new nurses. Methods: A convenient sampling method was used and 148 new nurses from oncology hospital were included for questionnaire survey, using general questionnaire, transition shock of newly graduated nurses scale, the Chinese version of the work readiness scale for graduate nurses and career status evaluation scale. Results: The score of new nurses′ work readiness was 281.32±42.31, the score of transition shock was 88.89±18.53, and the score of career status was 84.92±11.54. The transition shock of new nurses were negatively correlated with work readiness and career status (r=-0.388,-0.618, P<0.01), and work readiness was positively correlated with career status(r=0.595, P<0.01). Transition shock played a mediating effect between the work readiness and career status, and the mediating effect was 29.7% . Conclusion: The career status of new nurses is at middle level. The nursing managers should take relevant measures to improve the work readiness of new nurses and reduce the impact of transition, so as to promote the healthy development of new nurses′ career.

摘要: 目的:分析转型冲击在新护士工作准备度与职业生涯状况间的中介效应,为促进新护士职业生涯状况的发展提供依据。 方法:采用便利抽样的方法选取 148 名新护士,采用一般资料调查表、转型冲击量表、中文版毕业护士工作准备度量表及职业生涯状况量表进行调查。结果:新护士工作准备度总分为(281.32±42.31)分,转型冲击总分为(88.89±18.53)分,职业生涯状况总分为(84.92±11.54)分,新护士转型冲击与工作准备度及职业生涯状况均呈负相关(r=-0.388,-0.618,均 P<0.01);工作准备度与职业生涯状况呈正相关(r=0.595,P<0.01),转型冲击在工作准备度与职业生涯状况间有中介作用,中介效应占总效应的 29.7%。结论:新护士职业生涯状况处于中等水平,医院护理管理者应采取相关措施提高新护士的工作准备度,减轻转型冲击,从而促进新护士职业生涯的良性发展。
