Objective: To understand the psychological needs of relatives of liver transplantation patients in order to ensure the high-quality family support for critically ill patients. Methods: By convenience sampling, 50 adult relatives of critically ill patients in organ transplantation intensive care units were enrolled to complete the Chinese version of Critical Care Family Needs Inventory (CCFNI). Results: For both the importance level of the needs of the family members，the score of condition assurance (3.65±0.27) was the highest，The second of the four fields：respectively support area (3.28±0.25) and sufficiency in information (3.17±0.43)，access to the patients(2.78±0.65) and comfort (2.53±0.42)．Relatives said that some of the most important projects：to ensure that patients receive the best treatment（3.93±0.37）and staff can answer their question（3.73±0.41）（P<0.05）.Conclusion: Nursing staff should assess the objective demand of relatives of patients and ensure their mental and physical structure away from damage, create a harmonious doctor-patient relationship and successful transplantation.
