Abstract:   Objective: To compare the germicidal efficacy of Health Essence chlorinate disinfectant on staphylococcus aureus and streptococcus sanguis.Methods: The stained alginate impressions were prepared, and divided into two groups, which were staphylococcus aureus group and streptococcus sanguis group, 150 samples each group. All samples were immersed in 500mg/L Health Essence chlorinated disinfectant for 1 min, 2 min, 3 min, and 5 min. Compare the efficacy of sterilizing staphylococcus aureus and streptococcus sanguis at different stages and at the same stage.Results: With the prolongation of the immersing time of the chlorine disinfectant, the sterilization rate in the staphylococcus aureus group increased, and statistical difference existed at different stages (1 min and 3 min, 1 min and 5 min) (P＜0.001). In the streptococcus sanguis group, the sterilizing rate also increased with the prolongation of the immersing time, and there were statistical difference at different stages (1 min and 3 min, 1 min and 5 min) (P＜0.001). At the same stage, there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion: The disinfectant effect of Health Essence chlorinate disinfectant is ideal, and there is no difference between sterilizing the staphylococcus aureus and streptococcus sanguis.
