Abstract:

Objective: To evaluate the effect of systematic birth dance on the outcome of vaginal delivery of primipara. Methods: Systematic birth dance related literatures were searched on CNKI, Wanfang , CBM, VIP, PubMed, The Cochrane Library and Embase from the inception of databases to August 15, 2021. Meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.2 software. Results: A total of 10 literatures involving 1 343 pregnant women were included. Meta analysis showed that compared with traditional birth health care, birth dance could effectively shorten the duration of the first labor time [MD=-104.29, 95% CI (-111.53,-97.06), P < 0.001], the duration of the second labor time [SMD=-0.66, 95%CI(-0.82,-0.51),P<0.001] and the duration of the third labor time [MD=1.51, 95% CI(1.42,1.60),P < 0.001],and reduce labor pain[MD=-1.00,95%CI(-1.48, -0.53), P<0.001], improve maternal satisfaction[SMD=0.88, 95% CI (0.60,1.15), P<0.001], and reduce the incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes [OR=0.22, 95%CI(0.09,0.58), P=0.002].There was no significant difference in Apgar score (1 min) between the two groups [MD=0.04, 95%CI (-0.10,0.18), P=0.58]. Conclusion: The study showed that systematic birth dance can effectively shorten the duration of the first labor time, the second labor time and the third labor time, reduce the labor pain of pregnant women, reduce the occurrence of adverse outcomes of mothers and infants compared with traditional reproductive health care methods.
