Abstract:

Objective:To analyze the research hotspots of four-hand dentistry in the PubMed database, in order to advance research, application and promotion of this technology, so as to improve the work efficiency of the department of stomatology. Methods:Dentistry, Operative and Assistant were used as retrievers, and "Proprioceptive Derivation Concept" and "four-handed Dentistry" were used to search PubMed database. The extraction time was on March 1, 2020, and relevant literatures were retrieved without limitation of literature type or language. BICOMB, SPSS and gCLUTO software were used for Bibliometric analysis and cluster analysis. Results:A total of 591 literatures were retrieved and 572 literatures which met the criteria were finally included after screening. The development of oral four-hand manipulation techniques abroad was earlier and relatively mature.The published literatures were mainly concentrated in the United States, Britain and Japan. Four hand operation had been applied in tooth pulp, repair, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, etc.The research field included the medical task execution and analysis, clinical teaching and continuing education, prevention of vocational pain, instrument display and transmission, medical operation position, with research and development of operating principles, equipment, instruments, infection control, etc. The United States had the largest number of articles, accounting for 47.028%. The Journal with the highest number of articles was the Journal of Dental Education in Britain. Conclusion:Oral four-hand dentistry technology abroad tends to mature and we can learn some effective experience, so as to improve the rate of four-hand dentistry for comprehensive promotion and application, meanwhile, improve the work efficiency and avoid nosocomial infection.
