Abstract: Objective: To analyze the current status of self-regulatory fatigue and its influencing factors in patients with atrial fibrillation. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to select patients with atrial fibrillation hospitalized in the cardiovascular medicine department of a tertiary grade A hospital in Hefei, Anhui Province. A survey was conducted using the General Information Questionnaire, the Self-Regulatory Fatigue Scale (SRF-S), the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). Results: The total score of the SRF-S among 338 patients was (45.95±18.18). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score of the SRF-S in patients with atrial fibrillation was negatively correlated with the total scores of GSES and CD-RISC (P<0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that the total score of GSES, the total score of CD-RISC, comorbid stroke, type of atrial fibrillation, education level, and monthly income level were independent influencing factors of the self-regulatory fatigue in patients with atrial fibrillation (P<0.05). Conclusion: The level of self-regulatory fatigue in patients with atrial fibrillation needs to be improved, and it is influenced by multiple factors. Healthcare providers can develop targeted intervention programs based on the influencing factors of self-regulatory fatigue to reduce the level of self-regulatory fatigue in patients with atrial fibrillation.
