Abstract: Objective: To understand the cognition, attitude, willingness, and demand of medical service providers and recipients for "Internet+" palliative medical services in Tianjin, and to analyze the factors influencing willingness. Methods: Convenience sampling method was used to survey 282 medical service providers and 100 medical service recipients from two Class A tertiary hospitals in Tianjin from March to May 2023, using self-designed Medical Service Provider Questionnaire and Medical Service Recipient Questionnaire. Results: The scores for cognition, attitude, and willingness among medical service providers were 4.28 ±1.61, 33.56 ±9.55, and 9.79 ±3.40, respectively. The scores for cognition, attitude, and willingness among medical service recipients were 5.10±2.36, 2.70±1.21, and 2.09±0.87, respectively. Years of work experience and attitude were influencing factors on the willingness of medical service providers(P<0.05), while cognition was a factor influencing the willingness of medical service recipients to use the services(P<0.05). Conclusion: The cognition level of both medical service providers and recipients regarding "Internet+" palliative medical services is relatively low. Both groups hold a supportive attitude but have different needs. The willingness to use these services is relatively low among medical service recipients and more experienced providers. In the future, it is essential to continue strengthening public education on mobile healthcare and palliative care, and to design and develop user-friendly, practical, and highly secure mobile healthcare platforms based on identified needs, to support the development of palliative care.
