Objective: To understand the supportive care needs of patients with esophageal cancer, and analyze the influencing factors. Methods: Using convenience sampling, a total of 569 patients with esophageal cancer were selected as the subjects. The general situation questionnaire and supportive care needs scale for cancer patients were used to analyze the influencing factors. Results: The total score of supportive care needs of patients with esophageal cancer was 115.43±20.79. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that education level, understanding of the disease and time since the first diagnosis were the main influencing factors for supportive care needs of patients with esophageal cancer（P＜0.05). Conclusion: The supportive care needs of patients with esophageal cancer are at the high level. In particular, patients with low education level, lack of understanding of the disease and short time since the first diagnosis are concerned.
