Abstract: Objective: To systematically evaluate the effects of internet-based mindfulness-based intervention (MBI) on cancer patients. Methods: PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, Web of Science, CINAHL, Sinomed, CNKI, Wanfang and VIP databases were searched by computer to collect randomized controlled trials on internet -based mindfulness intervention in cancer patients. The search time was from database inception to November 2023. RevMan 5.4 software was used to conduct a meta -analysis of the included literature. Results: A total of 10 studies involving 937 cancer patients were included. Results showed that the internet-based mindfulness intervention can relieve the anxiety of patients with cancer [SMD=-1.21, 95%CI(-2.27, -0.16), P=0.02), depression [SMD=-1.32, 95%CI(-2.55, -0.09), P=0.04), and stress level [SMD=-0.67, 95%CI(-1.21, -0.13), P=0.01], but there had no obvious effect on post-traumatic growth [MD=-2.31, 95%CI(-6.69, 2.07), P=0.30] and quality of life [SMD=0.30, 95%CI(-0.07, 0.66), P=0.11]. Conclusion: Existing evidence shows that internet-based mindfulness interventions can relieve the anxiety, depression and stress levels of cancer patients. The effects of internet-based mindfulness interventions on post-traumatic growth and quality of life need further study.
