Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effects of allergic rhinitis on sleep status and fatigue in children, and to provide reference for improving sleep quality and decreasing fatigue in children aged 3-6 years old. Methods: A total of 84 children with allergic rhinitis and 97 children without allergic rhinitis aged 3-6 years old were selected from the children's health care department of a secondary hospital in Nankai district of Tianjin from July 2022 to January 2023 by objective sampling method. Children's sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ) was used to evaluate children's sleep status and PedsQLTM multidimensional fatigue scale was used to analyze children's fatigue degree. Independent sample t -test was used to compare the differences in sleep status and fatigue between children with allergic rhinitis and those without allergic rhinitis. Results: The sleep score of children with allergic rhinitis was significantly higher than that of the non-rhinitis group (t=11.585, P<0.001); The fatigue score of children with allergic rhinitis was significantly lower than that of non-rhinitis group (t=-9.247, P<0.001). Conclusion: 3-6 years old children with allergic rhinitis experienced poor sleep quality and high levels of fatigue. Therefore, allergic rhinitis affects children's sleep to a certain extent, and also becomes an important factor causing fatigue in children, affecting children's physical and mental development in a subtle way. It is suggested that clinical and children's parents need to improve the understanding of allergic rhinitis and strengthen the family management of allergic rhinitis, so as to provide reference for effectively improving the prevention and treatment effect of allergic rhinitis.
