Abstract: Objective: To develop a Chinese version of the resilience scale for nurses and verity its reliability and validity. Methods: After obtaining authorization of the original authors, the resilience scale for nurses was translated, back-translated, and cross-culturally debugged using the Brislin′s translation model. Purposive sampling method was used to select 600 nurses for the survey to verify the reliability and validity of the scale. Results: The Chinese version of the resilience scale for nurses had 19 entries, and the exploratory factor analysis extracted a total of 4 metric factors, with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 66.970%, and the Cronbach′s α coefficient of the total scale was 0.881. The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the χ2 /df was 0.922, the adjusted goodness-of-fit index was 0.899, the root mean squared error of approximation was 0.049, the comparative fit index was 0.965, the normed fit index was 0.919, the incremental fit index was 0.965, and the tucker -lewis fit index was 0.958. Conclusion: The Chinese version of the resilience scale for nurses has good reliability and validity and can be used to evaluate the resilience of nurses in clinical studies.
