Abstract: Objective: To explore the relationship between alexithymia and Acceptance of disability in young women with breast cancer. Methods: Totally 32 patients were selected as subjects by convenience sampling method and investigated with general information questionnaire, the Toronto alexithymia scale and the acceptance of disability scale. Results: The alexithymia score (60.63±13.85) and the disability acceptance score (75.04±6.63) were negatively correlated. Conclusion: The acceptance of disability in young breast cancer patients was at a moderate level with obvious alexithymia. The clinical staff should do a good job in assessing the alexithymia of young breast cancer patients, guiding them to actively express their physical and mental problems, guiding their transformation into their own way of thinking, and helping them discover own strengths and increase acceptance of disability.
