Abstract: Objective: To understand the status quo of nurses′innovative behavior, information literacy and self-transcendence and their correlation in Class A tertiary hospitals of Tianjin, and further explore the intermediary role of self-transcendence in innovative behavior and information literacy, so as to provide reference for formulating intervention measures to improve nurses′innovative behavior. Methods: A total of 638 nurses from Class A tertiary hospitals in Tianjin were investigated by using the general information questionnaire, the NursesInnovative Behavior Scale (NIBS), the Information Literacy Scale (ILS) and the Self-Transcendence Scale (STS). Results: The total score of innovative behavior was 34.72±7.09. The total score of innovative behavior was positively correlated with the total scores of information literacy and self-transcendence (r=0.647, r=0.642, P<0.01), thd total score of information literacy was positively correlated with the total score of self-transcendence (r=0.657, P<0.01). The intermediary effect of self-transcendence on innovative behavior and information literacy accounted for 38.8%(P<0.01). Conclusion: The innovative behavior of nurses from Class A tertiary hospitals in Tianjin is at the medium level and needs to be further improved. Information literacy can directly predict innovative behavior, and indirectly predict innovative behavior through the intermediary role of self-transcendence.
